A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a few functions, but it is stunningly simple to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires just a single click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with a few mouse clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated service with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses under any domain hosted here. To enable the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you will have to click the button with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be accomplished in the same way and will not require more than one click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a particular domain, you will get a warning. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never disable or modify anything automatically.
